Award ensures we can provide support where it is needed

Great news!

Reading Mencap has been awarded funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.

The grant will help to keep our charity going over the next few months. This means we can continue being here to support our local learning disability community during what is an incredibly challenging time for all of us. Thanks to the Government for making this possible.

One of our key activities during lockdown has been making up and distributing activity packs. We’re now delivering 91 packs on a fortnightly basis to our clients.

Contents include craft kits, arty materials and ideas for things to do. Easy read instructions are also included. These are proving extremely popular with some amazing artwork being produced and proudly displayed.
