Easter Bunny visits Reading Mencap
There’s been a lot of happy bunnies at Reading Mencap thanks to the Thames Vale Vultures and the Rotary Club of Loddon Vale.
We’re lucky recipients of 100 Easter eggs collected on the annual Good Friday Berkshire Egg Run by the motorcycle owners’ group.
More than 400 bikers from across the south of England braved the rainy weather to ride through Reading from Tilehurst to the Abbey Rugby Club in Emmer Green, where the eggs are donated to Reading Rotary Clubs and Southcote Children’s Centre who distribute them.
A staggering 7,664 eggs were collected this year!
Members of our ME Day Activity Service were delighted to pick their favourite treat from the huge box we received – thank you to everyone who donated an egg, to the Thames Vale Vultures and everyone else involved.
It’s an eggscellent venture!
