End of an era

After 13 years of dedicated service, we announce the resignation of our Chair, Leslie Macdonald. Her departure marks the end of an era, one that has seen Reading Mencap transform into the thriving charity it is today, providing invaluable support to those with learning disabilities within our local community.

Throughout her tenure, Leslie played a pivotal role in the growth and success of our organisation. Her unwavering commitment and strategic vision have helped to turn Reading Mencap into what it is today. Under her guidance, we have achieved significant milestones, expanded our reach, and positively impacted the lives of countless individuals in our community.

We extend our gratitude to Leslie for her tireless efforts and unwavering belief in our cause and we wish her the very best in all her future endeavours.

Zoe Ridout will be assuming the role of Interim Chair of Reading Mencap, while the charity seeks a permanent Chair.
